I started over with the image, using what you taught me last night and everything worked. I'm not sure I got the horse light enough but now I know how to do it. I also cropped the right side like some had suggested and since I could not make that house behind the car darker, I cropped it and put some leaves there instead.
Thanks again for all your help and to everyone for their suggestions. |

Interesting - I did not know vignetting would do that. Anyway, it's a beautiful image. |

Thanks for your comments. I had not even noticed how white that house was. Now maybe I can try Bev's suggestion and work on the house. It'll give me something to do (like I don't have enough already). |

That's amazing! Another reason to buy a mirrorless camera (but I probably won't). |

I love the flower and the colors and think Bev's changes are good. I'm a little bothered by the bottom not being sharp but love the details in the flowers. It doesn't matter if it is a weed or flower. I'm just impressed that you noticed it. |

Very interesting and I like the brighter colors done by Bev. I understand why you wanted to emphasize the leader but I think I would like to have the rest of the band be sharper. Just my opinion - love the image anyway. |

I agree that this is better than the original but I immediately wondered why it was not sharper, given it was shot at f20 and 1/200. I usually send mine at about 1200x800 pixels but I don't know if that was that problem or not.
I love the colors and it makes me want to go there. I think we were fairly close to this refuge last month but did not have time to visit it. |

I did not notice the spots until I read your comment but I do agree that it would be better without them. I love the sharpness of the image, the composition and the black and white. Did you use a tripod? If not, how did you get it so sharp at 1/80? I can't hold a camera still enough for the shutter speed. |

Don't want to start a family fight but I agree with Stu's comments. However, it was a very interesting image and hard to image seeing stuff like this. We've never been to Cuba and would like to go sometime. |

Good ideas. The reason I cropped so much off the left side was that I did not like the telephone pole that was there. I definitely should have cropped more off the right and will do it for future use.
I don't know where you live, but if you want train pictures, go to Strasburg Railroad in Strasburg, PA or the Heber Valley Railroad in Utah or one on the Oregon coast that my husband saw this fall. We were amazed that we saw 3 in one month.
Thanks for your interesting comments. |

Good idea but how did you enhance it? |
