Thank you for your explanations and I think your changes improved an already great image. I was able to understand your English and only wish I could speak or write some other language as well as you do with English. |

Guess I should have known what Ren was but that's the problem with abbreviations. Thanks for the explanation and the original photo. I think what you did with it made it better (even though I don't like unreality). Now I just wish you had gotten the legs of the horse and woman. Thanks for your explanations! |

I keep looking at this image which I like but something was bothering me. I finally figured out what it was - that very light object in the upper left corner. What is it? I think if it were darker it would not distract so much. |

I am bothered by that window with the grey and white blotches. Why did you not crop it so you just had the face which is wonderful? I think it could be cropped so you can still tell that he is alone in the back seat of a car. His expression is very though provoking and I think he looks a little distressed. I love the black and white. I'm not sure I see much difference in the version Bev made. Another good portrait! |

I must show my ignorance - what is Ren Faire? Maybe knowing that I would be able to evaluate it better. I don't know if you've noticed but I occasionally have commented on some images that I don't like them because they don't look real, which was my first reaction to this one. However, I guess I must learn about becoming more creative with my images. I'm not sure I'll ever get there though. |

I loved this image from the first time I saw it and thought the trees in the upper left were interesting. I never noticed the couple until I read your description. I actually like their placement and the crevice points right to them. I can see why Bev wanted to make them bigger and that is OK. However, I think I still like the original because it shows the vastness of the desert. |

I'll have to find this in PS and compare it to LR. I don't begin to really know how to use it but I'll keep trying. It seems that there is a limit to how much you can "fix" with it. |

I love the center of the image because it tells a story and is really sharp. What I can't figure out is whether there are giants on either side of the group or whether the standing woman is really short. Those legs look really long. Or was it the angle you shot from? Given that you don't mind a lot of black I won't comment about that because the whole effect is really good. |

I too prefer the color version and I like the image very much from the beginning. It did not strike me that it was not straight but then I thought maybe Mark was right about it. However, I like your original version better than the one you straightened. I've been playing with the transform thing in LR and am wondering if using those various adjustments would fix the problem Mark saw and make it "just right." I don't know if PS has such a feature though. |
