I love the face! I agree with Cheryl about the fact that you could remove the hands, given your skills with post-processing. With them gone it would be an even greater image. |

Great bird! I agree with the other suggestions but the main thing that struck me at first was that one branch over his head. However, if you remove it, you could not enter it in a PSA Nature competition. An open one would be OK though. The other thing I wondered about was what aperture you used because if you had use a really wide aperture, maybe the distracting branches would have been less sharp and therefore less distracting. Not sure about this though. |

Wow - I guess I do have a problem telling if an image is sharp because I thought it was sharp. I usually have to ask my husband if mine are sharp but I still don't know how Bev and Neil know that this is not sharp and I would love to hear what they see. My only suggestion would be to have had all of the bottom petal included if possible.
Everyone is talking about the benefits of focus stacking so I suppose that is one more thing I'd better learn. |

My first thought when I looked at it was that I would probably have used the dehaze filter so I was glad to see others suggest it. Juliann Kost suggested it at the last PSA conference and I've been using it and love it. I did not notice the line Cheryl mentioned so it did not bother me. All in all, I love the image. |

I like the silhouette but I suspect you oversharpened which produced the halo. I also wish the tree was not so black but I'm not sure how you would do that. You do find interesting subjects though. |

It is a cute photo and is very sharp and is a good reminder of your trip. I am always amazed at what you can do in post processing so I think it is a good image. However, it is not my favorite kind of thing so I doubt I would ever think of doing it. |

Thanks for your suggestions. I have other images that probably have more crowd silhouettes so I'll dig them out and I'll try to play with the transform tool which I have not done much of. |
