Thanks for the nice reviews. David, I think that the artifact that you see is due to the stereo base and the proximity of the camera. I wanted to capture as much of the 3D in the background as possible. I took several frames of other climbers and this one seemed the best. After all, I couldn't just ask them to climb back down and get another take...

This is a nice "real life" image. While it may often seem there are too many people on these jobs, my experience is that the extra hands are necessary to remove, replace, or refit large heavy objects. Having participated in these activities myself, I'm glad they are there instead of me.
Still, one of my favorite riddles is "What is orange and sleeps six?"

I really like the mood of the image. The shadows and highlights are very pleasant to look at, and meshes well with this time of year, with the trees losing their leaves with the promise of spring to come. |

Hi, Nick - You have a nice group of elements here - very festive and beautifully placed. However, I found it quite uncomfortable to view because of the text in the picture. Looking more carefully, the tree is well photographed and placed well in the 3D space. However, the text has too much separation (front to back) for the viewer to separate them.
I think if you reduce the separation, the image will be more pleasing to the eyes and more comfortable to view. |
