What an interesting and bleak place. This village scene is probably a hard one to photograph but I would have tried to get closer to the buildings to eliminate much of the foreground and fill the sky. And I would image the stone work and thatched roofs would have nice 3D effects. Did you take any shots closer to the buildings? Would a person be able to go into the buildings? |

This is a very well thought-out and put-together cow with the head hair, horns, bell, red tongue, etc. Very whimsical. The fence adds to the story of the cow but the small design in the fence is unfortunate...it's in the worst spot. And it's good the top of the arched design in the background wasn't clipped. Thank goodness there are people who have the ability to make folk art and share it with the passer-by. It can add a smile to a face on an ordinary drive. I'm also glad you took a picture of it! |

Gorgeous flower and excellent subject with the colors, hairs, and symmetry. I agree it is cropped a little tight but if the background leaves and light are distracting, it may have been necessary. I would have cloned that one bright spot on the right bottom edge of the left image darker. |

I'm like Barry, I never heard of pour painting and this makes a great subject. The color choices in this image are bright and eye-catching with the yellow strainer. I find the background is somewhat distracting with the bright foil(?) competing with the subject. I'll check out the youtube videos because this looks like a great fun project with the grandkids. What does your wife do with her pour paintings? |

Unfortunately there were no ducks, herons, turtles, or cranes in these ponds at the time of the picture. |

Interesting, nice image. The subject, colors, lighting, and sharpness are nicely done. I like that the wire of the light lines up perfecting with the lines of the window boards behind it. It's kind of quirky too that the light wire is not exactly straight up and down...which I like. It makes the hanging light a "little off" and keeping the image from being just another hanging light. |

Steve...I was wondering about your "luminence" comment. What is this and what does it look like? Is it that little light circle on the brick straight up from the duck being painted and a result of the flash? |

Good subjects and story. Image is nicely composed although I would suggest in the future to watch that a subject's foot is not clipped. Image is sharp throughout. I like that you focused on the woman as the main subject, since she is in a bright yellow T-shirt and sitting on a yellow pot. She draws the viewers eye right to her and what she is doing. |
