I can only imagine the visual impact this cathedral must have from the inside with the angles and stained glass windows...as well as from the outside. Gaudi was truly an out-of-the-box architect and thinker. Just from this image I'm intrigued trying to conceptualize the interior...balconies and Roman columns? This image has nice 3D effects leading down the hall. |

Nice lead-in down the road, held in by the trees, to the chapel. The lighting is perfect in that only the subject is highlighted. Maybe just a tad of brightening in the tree shadows would add just a little more detail...but I think the darkness helps keep the viewer going down the road to the chapel. 3D makes the chapel standout. Its also nice that the sky is leafed-in above the chapel so that the viewer isn't drawn up to the sky and away from the chapel. |

Everything looks great to me , Nick. It seems like a nice balance in lighting and placement of the glass and bottle. Its simplicity works.
I want to wish you a speedy recovery, Nick, and many more New Years to enjoy. Gerry had two stents implanted Jan 29 and I am to this day amazed at how quickly the whole situation was handled. |

I like this image. It has a "feeling" to it, a softness and a mood. I like the sense of motion on the right and the sense of quiet on the left. And to me, the element that really adds impact to the image is the soft reflection on the wet walkway. |

This is a nice image for a difficult scene...difficult because there are a lot of contrasts and there are a lot of different angles. There is nice framing of contrasting structures...heavy, solid beams in the foreground and lacy tent in the background but because of the thin lines of the tent, those in the back are barely visible and don't lend a strong 3D effect. Also, the beam on the left appears to be slightly overexposed because half of the bolt's detail is missing. |
