Hi Brian, I'm glad you have joined our group and I look forward to our exchanges.
How do we pronounce this Church's name? I had to Google Brecon Beacon to find out where it is. What a fun place to visit...it has so many pieces that lend nicely to a 3D image! Great depth. I love that everything is leaning differently from each other.
The textures of the roof and stone walls and the grass competing with the headstones make this a very pleasant image to get lost in. |

I like this image very much. Everything is sharp and good depth. And I agree with the distracting glare at the top left. The image is sharp and has rich color.
I also like your creative interpretation of a bridge. And like the rest of the group, cell phone cha-cha is on my to-do list.

Welcome to our group, Betty...I look forward to our sharing 3D photography.
I have had images of people like this and the hard part is where to crop out people that are in the background...but a head chop is a little disturbing to the viewer. Crowds also have distracting things with them, like the stroller behind the boy. It could have been quickly moved out of the way...but in all likelihood, I would probably not have noticed it until later.
I also agree that everyone in the image is unfortunately looking away from the camera. If the parade was coming toward the boy, I would have shot some images when the faces were showing.
Your grandson and flag stand out nicely as the focal points in the image. It is nice he has his left arm up in a wave because it connects the left side to the right side of the image...it covers the dead middle space. This is a fun image. |

I give you lots of credit for doing creative images, Nick, because I have yet to do a creative 3D image. I should start learning, though, since that seems to be a reoccurring exhibition theme.
The butterflies are nicely spaced in that they aren't merged with each other or their antennae. And I like that there is a bright orange butterfly to draw the eye to the butterfly line. Nice creative image.

There are very nice leading lines to the tower and the height of the wall shows up well. I agree that the gray roof on the left is distracting. Cropping some of it out from the left side would bring the tower too close to the left edge, but I think cropping from the bottom to take out the first big block would help a lot. |
