I looked at all my images from here and can you believe it...they are all just about straight-on. Just a couple further down at just a slight angle but not enough to make a difference. If I ever get back there I will try it differently. |

I actually have a couple of pictures further down the building that had some hanging flags and potted hibiscus...and not such a straight-on shot. The shadows on the wall are definitely not as pronounced as in the above image but you are right in that there needs to be a focal point. |

Yup, I just don't know why I didn't do this at an angle...a missed opportunity, that's for sure. |

I agree with you it should be more of a side shot. I thought of doing this when I was there but now I can't seem to remember why I didn't do it...other people in the way??...I just don't remember. I should know that with 3D, angled shots can be more effective. |

Nice effect. You should try this again when the very little inner leaves have gotten bigger to add another layer inside these yellow/green leaves. |

I love this image. I really like how the shadow falls on the rabbit's ears, especially his left one, to make it look like he is really in a hole. The only problem, to me, is that I find the upper one-third of the picture - the background sky and branches - distracting. I would suggest cropping the image to just above the tree branch as it leads to the right and just below where that inner pocket of sky appears. Then the rabbit and hole become even more prominent.

Yes, Buffy is a cute, cute dog. Unfortunately the whites on the top of Buffy's back and head have lost all detail. I wonder if bringing down the highlights a little might help. The grass has a nice pop-up effect and surrounds Buffy nicely. |

This is a nice picture John. I like the scene although I wish it wasn't so heavy with trees on the right. You needed to chop down the middle tree that covers the main subject...just joking. Anyway, what also comes across nicely in the picture is the slight variation of the ground. It isn't truly flat and level. The trees, windmill, ground and clouds all create an interesting picture to linger over. |
