Hello, I am visiting from group 33. Your image really translates as loneliness. I agree that some cropping will help make the cabin and mountains more important. I also think you need to level it. The corners of the cabin tend to lean and the foreground soil is not level. I noticed it because I have so much difficulty making sure my images are level. I also think that you can pull out different values in the sky and mountains if you put each on a separate layer to work on them. I do not know what software you use, but I hope you can do that because it is a wonderful photo that just needs a little enriching. |

I understand your fascination for this scene. I do think the crop helps and I like Raymond's idea of using the light to spotlight the house. Also an interesting history. You find some really noteworthy places to photograph. Thanks for sharing them. |

I have never been able to get the secondary rainbow to show up well. I wonder why we see them, but they are so difficult to capture. Bob, I see what you wanted to capture and I experimented a little. This may not be what you want and it is a "quickie" but it gives you something to consider. I teally like the strips of grasses in different colors. |

This image reminds me of the Rockies. How can anything be more beautiful. You captured the shot all of us work and hope for. I love it. Thanks for sharing. |

This is a lovely view and so well captured that I almost shiver. I think that a metallic print of it would be wonderful. I see no way to improve it. |

Awesome image. I have not been to Iceland but I see more and more wonderful images from there. I guess everyone has been everywhere else and Iceland is our "new frontier". I love the other worldly look in your image. I do think it would help to eliminate the people on the overlook. Really nice. |

Bob, this is a truly beautiful capture. I love the sky and the red hills. The Dakotes seem to have some wonderful under photographed scenes. And the National Parks can't be beat for always offering up great landscape images. My favorite part of this image is the dark gold near the right side. It is wonderful. I agree that the other parts could be toned down slightly. Love the sky. |

Thank you, Jan and welcome. Your idea to grab a shot with you cell is a good one. I have learned that there is no such thing as later. I don't use my cell phone as a camera much. I have just had difficulty thinking of the phone as a camera. Also I have friends who have very expensive equipment and are very accomplished photographers who have started using their cells and have forgotten those wonderful cameras. I don't want that to happen to me. But it is very true that the best camera is the one you have with you. That is were cells excel. And they are amazing cameras. |

Thanks, Bob. I really like the addition of the warm pink glow. Long ago I used Topaz a good bit, but just never think of it these days. I think because it is so difficult to download and install it on this mac. I have bought several of the newer filters and have never been able to get them installed. I really wanted the AI but cannot get it installed. Topaz used to be very helpful, but I no longer find that to be the case. |
