33 Jan 20 Reply Yes, I used ACR and went to the fX page then slid the dehaze filter to the left until it cleared the haze. Very easy. Jan 19th

I feel that photographing such a place which has family history attached is very important for families. I do agree that the top needs some space, which you have already done. I wonder if placing your camera near the ground and tilted up just a little would give the building a different view that would add to the importance of the building and sign. When you pass it again, try it. I would be interested if that works here. The school where my mother sent her 12 years is still in use and I enjoy seeing it and photographing it. Very impressive and very well done.

33 Jan 20 Comment Why can't I upload another one? Are we limited to one? Jan 13th
33 Jan 20 Comment I managed to look at a couple of the Topaz filters. Generally I do not like many of the filters, but this image stirred my imagination. Don't feel you need to use these, they are just for fun. Jan 13th
33 Jan 20 Comment Lovely scene. Yes, one or three still holds interest better. I especially like Bob's crop. I love the texture of these coreopsis. Really lovely. You have a good eye to seperate this from the patch of flowers. Jan 12th
33 Jan 20 Comment This image reminds me of going to the cowboy movies on Saturdays when I was a child. While they did not have gas stations, they did have cabins and general stores that looked a lot like this. I can just see Gene Autry tying up his horse out front. Topaz has some cartoon filters that might be interesting on this image.
I do like the black and white as well as the color. Both work well. I agree that a little more room on the left would be nice. Sharp and classic. Nice work. If I get time I will try some variations, but this is scheduled to be a busy week.

33 Jan 20 Comment This is a nice capture, I like it as is. Yellow can really lift the spirits on a gray day. The dark makes the rocky ridge behind the flowers look strong and mighty, very rugged. One silly thing distracts my eye. The bright branch from the flowers on the very left that dissects the rocky cliff bothers me. It looks like a road with a truck on the very end, but I think it is a branch with a dead flower on it. Whatever it is I would clone the end out so that it does not cut that chunk of the mountain off.
Very nice work.

33 Jan 20 Comment This is a really nice view of the canyon. I found it difficult to see the river well in most places, so I am well impressed with this view. I know it is often hazy and I felt your photo could be brighter without the haze. All I did was use ACR filter to decrease the haze. One slide of the filter and it looks much better to me. I did make an effort to level it. I could find no true horizontal or vertical lines to guide me so adjusted it until I felt it looked level. The ridge top is not level so I just had to guess. Not very scientific, but it seemed to work. The colors are beautiful, the image is well framed, there is a foreground, a middle ground, and a distant ground, and the river is a nice contrast to the rugged cliffs. Very nice. Jan 12th
33 Jan 20 Comment Raymond, this is a WOW image to be sure. I do agree that the sky is outstanding. I wonder if you opened up the foreground dark area just enough to suggest some texture, it might help the eye in taking the eye to the village. I gave levels a try and just moving the right slider over until the histogram picked up, helped give the foreground enough light to cause it to say, "Look at me'. I then cut off just a little of the bottom (the bottom third line was right at the water level) to help emphasize the trees. This is certainly the most beautiful spot you can hope to see. Congrats on finding and capturing it. Jan 12th
