My, you fellows do some fie work, Paul, I know your feeling of just stop and soak up such beauty. I have tried to get some trees in layers like this and it is fun. I agree with the above suggestions. This is a fine image I would love to have onmy wall. |

This is a wonderful composition of a beautiful scene. My only suggestion is that I have never seen water that blue. I would tone it down some. Very well done otherwise. Of course in Louisiana the water is full of mud so it is brown most of the time. Blue is much better.
I don't know how my note to Bob got in this string. But you may be glad to hear that my house is essentially fininshed. Just some paint to touch up now. Two and a half years and tons of money. What a nightmare. I looked at my children's baby books today - just pale pages with blank lines that were filled in and white papers which used to be photos. Many photos lost. Believe me, nothing lasts forever. |

Everybody loves RR tracks. I think it may because we all want to go some place and most of us aren't sure where. I do like Larry's crop except that it has more contrast along the railing where that bush is and that draws the eye away from the rails. if you want to keep the trees, I would remove the telephone lines. I find them distracting. And maybe crop a little of the sky. For another take on RR photos, borrow some little guy with a baseball cap, give him a pole with a bandana tied on the end and have him walk his dog down the tracks. A really nice image. |

I guess that I am missing something, but I love your image as posted. I do like the square crop, but I like the way my eye travelos in your original. I feel that it is canvas ready. Nicely done. |

So glad you have jooined us, Marilyn. You have captured a beautiful scene. The Grand Canyon is frequently hazy and so can be challenging to photo and process. But it is always beautiful. I agree with the guys. They covered it well. Darkening the foreground tree really helps. Both the adjusted images are nicely done and you will have a canvas ready image. |

How nice to see you up and running again. The scene you captured is truly breathtaking. I do think that it is not sharp. Was it handheld? I love the green fields and that wonderful set of mountailn. Very nice. |

Bob, I sent my photo in for this round. Did it get lost in space? |
