Thank you, Paul for an interesting suggestion. I agree that it seems to run downhill. I will see if I can improve on that. However higher was not an option. I was on the highest spot I could find on a plain. I do not think I can post process a higher view, so I guess I am stuck with what I got. |

Paul, you did a great job in capturing this and I think the 3 markers work very well. The small one on the left does not demand enough attention to detract. I love the direction of the rocks in the foreground and the way they lead to the focal point. Nicely done and different. |

This is a true view of Alaska. You did a great job on getting the eagle in just the right spot and the boats in the foreground. This shot is worthy of good processing. I suggest you improve the area around the eagle and lighten your blacks. The sky would take on more definition if you darken it and increase the contrast. A really worthy shot. |

Congratulations on such a nice capture of lightening. It is hard to do. I do think some hint of location or surroundings might help. In my mind's eye, I would dream of a field with trees on the very bottom of the frame. As is, my eyes follow the strikes right out of the frame. I like the way the top of the strikes goes into the clouds at the top of the frame. Nice job on the capture. |

Lloyd, I love this scene, it is peaceful and inviting. I feel that the dark, heavy reflected foliage in the lower left seems heavy in relationship to the rest of the image. Try cropping out that foliage up to the shadow of the trees on the right bank and past the white pole on the left side. I seemed to balance it more when I tried it. You may or may not like it, but it is worth a try. This is a lovely scene and I really like it. |

Larry, this is a beautiful scene. The snow, fence and grasses give a pleasing, peaceful feel to the scene. I understand what Ken has offered. I wonder if standing a little more to the right to capture this scene, would have lined the fence and grasses closer to the X. Since you live in this area, perhaps you will have another chance to see if this works for you. All that assumes that you want the X to be your focal point and I am not really sure of that. I agree that the tones are beautiful and make the scene worth capturing. |

Thank you, Ken for your favoring the layers. As I recall, the layers are what first caught my eye. |

Thank you for your suggestion, Larry. It amazes me that just flipping the image changes it so much. I do like the change because I like the left to right path. Good thought. |
