I've never seen an Avocet before or a baby chick from one. I wish it was a sharper image and not in direct sunlight it killed the detail in the feathers on its back. I wonder how the image gets effected when we resize and then have it posted in the group. Was your only edit to crop it or did you use some photo editing software? |

you could try a -40 hightlights, -40 saturation brush to remove light pollution. That works well for me. |

not the ones to the left maybe you can just use a brush on the one in the middle and drop the exposure/highlights a bit. Not too much. |

I really like your final image. You brought out some interesting details and I do think adding the sun rays was a good decision. I may have to look into Topaz :-) |

This is lovely Jan. I was torn between that sprig being there but now that I have looked at it for a bit I do like it. I also like the composition and how you cropped it. |

Brad I love to photograph the Milky Way. What a great capture and I like the foreground with the light painting. You really brought out the core. I have a set of presets from David Kingham that work really well in LR I will have to take a look at LonelySpec. |
