66 Sep 25 Reply Thanks Chuck. it seems that all agree that the crop is too much. It's the wood and the trees thing when one is working on an an image! Sep 10th
66 Sep 25 Reply Thanks Gary. I was in two minds about the tree stump. Sep 10th

66 Sep 25 Comment Hi Steve,
Having done horse jumping photography quite often, I know your frustration. It's almost impossible to be in the perfect position and I think you did really well. I've never tried IR with horse jumping and now I'm looking forward to the next opportunity. Getting rid of the very bright color of the flowers at the base holds the image in place. I might try to crop out most the grandstand on the right. If it's not too distasteful a little AI there would simplify.

66 Sep 25 Comment Hi Emil, Simplicity s always good. I believe that ferns make fine IR subjects. There is a little too much contrast for my taste. And yes, push the whites. Sep 10th
66 Sep 25 Comment Hi Henry,
I love wide vista when a story can be told. You have been most successful. Of course the sky helps. I might darken the middle ground. Very worthy.

66 Sep 25 Comment Hi Gary,
You are a master in knowing when to use this preset. I know I took this same image that same year. It probably landed in the garbage as I did not have the eye you do! Well done.

66 Sep 25 Comment Hi Chuck,
The scene is just beautiful. Unlike most IR images, the contrast here seems to work against you. I feel that lightening and darken in select areas will bring out more of what you were hoping for. Lightening the shadow area of the bridge, especially around the opening. I did attempt this and wonder if you find it to be any improvement to your eye.

66 Sep 25 Comment Hi Jack, This is so simple in its design and works so well. You tree is certainly the hero of the scene. Maybe one day we will all get the message that you are not a contrast person and prefer the gentler versions you usually present. I also know that most of us tend towards high contrast in our work, and thus look for it in others. Sep 10th
66 Sep 25 Comment Hi Arik,
You have proved that Princeton is a perfect place for making great pictures. Maybe they should have all these images and display them. As usual your processing is spot on. The tones are lovely.
