Jack, I have just noticed that my comment on your image did not load this month. Please accept my apology.
I really like the unusual lead in the tracks make to this gorgeous scene. Well composed and great post processing. I do wonder about lightening the barn. There is definitely detail there.

Hi Steve, It'd good to have you in the group. I thinks that Emil has said it so well, in that we all see things a little differently. I think that you composition is so well seen. It's an engaging scene. I like what you did with the sky in your reworked image. I would leave the bottom half alone for the most part. You could darken the foreground grasses a little. A great first image. |

Hi Emil. This is an engaging scene. I must admit that as soon as I saw it, I was drawn to the original. This seems to be an image where color makes a lot of sense. Hope you will consider it. |

Hi Henry, An iconic image. We also stopped for this picture (before my IR days. Have to go again). Post processing is lovely. I do like the grungy look. I agree that Pano is the way to go. |

Hi Gary, What grand old building with a personal history for you. I was also bothered by the straightening. I did try using Nik perspective on it to straighten the left side, but it did not look right at all. I think that Henry may be right when he says to undo the straightening? You pointed out that the lime stone is so beautiful. I believe that you would serve it better by backing off a little on the sepia tone you chose, maybe just on the building itself. It's certainly a worthy and meaningful image. |

Hi Chuck, I'm a fan of using IR with people., especially women. It gives such delicate tonality to the skin. The window light has enhanced what could have been a flat image. Well seen. I like that you removed what was behind her head. Once you are cleaning up, would you consider taking out the few dots to the right of the window and the smudges above it. Thanks for sharing, I have enjoyed it. |

Hi Arik, Just a lovely aspect of a beautiful building. And you found a hero in the bicycle which of course makes the picture. As usual your processing is spot on. There is a delicacy to it. The foliage seems to sparkle. |

Thanks Steve. My go to lens is a Sony 35-135. This focal length fits the bill most of the time. |

Thanks Arik. Good point. I did not examine the boats properly. |
