Hi Jodi, Thanks for you comments. I do often us textures to surround my flowers but this time there is no magic in how I filled the edges. All I did was to select the black areas around the flower and the fill with a complementary color. It did take a few tries to find the color that I liked. |

Fran, You are so right in enjoying your own work. After all art is so subjective and we all appreciate different things. I must admit that I do like Dick's reworked image, even thought the texture still seem to compete for my eye. Still love the Tulip |

Ah Maria, this is wonderful! You have simplified the image so well. The stamens are sharp and have added just the right amount of color the the delicate petals. Raindrops are a bonus. Print it and hang it. |

Hi Jodi, This is such an interesting flower that you have captured well. I am intrigued with the focus. The front edges of the leaves are as sharp as the flower. The flower itself looks as if it is floating. There must be a stem somewhere that makes the bloom stand away from the base? You did really well with the clean up. I do feel that the texture could be a little more subtle. |

Hi Diana, You have captured this flower beautifully. It is so sharp and the colors are gorgeous. I'm not sure about the background. It's so flat that the flower looks like it is pasted on it. How close it was to the flower? Maybe if it was further away it would be out of focus and give some depth. I like Dick's idea of using a diagonal for more interest. Lighting is lovely. |

Hi Fran, I think you have mastered the lens baby, Well done. You have captured this beautiful tulip expertly. I would love to see the original as I'm not sure about the texture, its detail is too close to the petal detail. It seems to overpower the delicacy. Enhancing the edges may help. A close vertical crop would make a big difference. It is a great capture. |

Dick, This is stunning. The tones are so delicate. The shapes are just so interesting. I feel that there are just the right amount of seeds showing, and they do add a pop of color. Love it! |

Hi Henry,
IR and flowers are hard and you have done really well with your capture. Because I am such a fan of flower photography, I feel that there is so much that you could do to make this perfect. I realize that you want to show off the tulips as well as the main bloom (I may have cropped them out). I would use camera raw to blur the background to make those lovely flowers pop. |

Hi Emil,
IR photographers know the power of clouds and you have shown them in an absolutely fascinating way. There just enough base to hold it all together. So well seen and beautifully processed. |

Hi Palli,
Your processing here is superb. I want to be there, even though it is just an ordinary scene. Both versions are great. Well done. |

Hi Gary.
This is a lovely creative image. The fog effect and the flipping gives the image the pop we look for. I really am not sure that the birds add anything. For me they take away from the whimsy and go into the creepy (which may be your intent). Processing is great. |

Hi Chuck,
I think you have positioned yourself well to capture the scene. The stream lead in takes us to the waterfall. Even though the falls are a small part of the picture, the scenic aspect is strong. Processing well handled. |

Hi Jack,
It's a very simple capture with a powerful foreground. I really do like the toning. It feels a little tight around the bikes. You seemed to have managed to add to the canvas at the bottom, but I think you could leave in more of the street on the right. I would have cloned out the bothersome people near the top to allow for the space, even though I know tht is not your thing.

Hi Arik,
What you present here is really a fine art image. The way that you managed to combine the two pictures shows a finesse that not all could achieve. True creativity. |
