I really like what Jodi has done. With a little more work, it is a start on the making of a truly stunning image. |

You are absolutely right Dick. I just forgot to share the details. As I said the 90mm is a new lens and I was playing around with different settings. This may seem strange, but I think it worked here.
90mm lens, ISO 1000(on auto), F22, 1/125. On a tripod. |

Hi Russel. I like what you did here. A very different view from how flowers are usually captured. The blurred background is great. I do think that your crop is a little tight on the sides and would like to see more space there. Well done. |

Beautifully presented Maria. The color palette is lovely. The central area sparkles and draws our attention. The depth of field does not allow for the whole flower to be in focus. I'm not sure if that is a problem as the center is so compelling. |

Jodi, I really like the point of view here. The back of a flower is often really interesting. Well done with getting rid of all the distractions., and the tilt gives a lovely perspective. Your focus seems to have settled on the stem and the lower petal. Was that your intention? Maybe F8 would have allowed more for be in focus.

Hi Diana, Whatever you did in processing, including the flip, has really worked out well. The flower is beautifully presented. I am wondering about the background color which does not really enhance the showing of the flower. Would you consider changing it. I must admit that i did take your image into Photoshop to see if I could come up with a more compelling background, but was not happy with any that I found. So all I did was to de-saturate the background and even then I'm not sure it is right. Let me know what you think? |

Yes Fran , it does glow, and that is gorgeous. You have managed to show some lovely lines on the bloom. I do think that adding a little more green to your texture would make the tulip pop even more. The faded out stem is well handled, but would like to see more clarity on the base of the flower. |

Hi Dick, I love this composition. There is such an elegant look. The depth of field is really good, making for a beautiful background. The sharpest point is on the leaf and lower portion of the stem, leaving the gorgeous bloom slightly out of focus, and I'm not sure if that was your intention. |

Thanks Emil, Everyone is right. I have lightened those dark clouds and that has made an enormous difference. Lightening the foreground grasses is also a good idea. |

Thank you Henry. It seems that the most of the group want more clouds and I am certainly going to look at that. |

Hi Henry, At first glance I thought it was a building! But it sure is a lovely leaf with all those shadows falling on it. A bit more at the top is needed. I would also like to see a a stroke around it. |

What a great scene, Emil. I alway live in hope that we will come accross something like this on our travels. I think the processing is great, but agree that a slight vignete would complete it. |

Hi Palli, A lovely line of trees, and well composed. I do find your processing a little crunchy. I think the answer lies somewhere between what you have and Henry's presentation. I always look forward to the different tree that you present. |

Gary, Well seen and processed so well. The reflected light streaks add so much interest and complete the frame. There is just enough light emitting from the lamp to give a central glow. This really shows that all we have to do is to pick up the camera, great images are always within our reach. |

Hey Chuck, This is just so interesting. You were right to take the buildings out as they did not add anything. I am a fan of the antique preset in Nik, but try to use it sparingly. I believe tat this scene makes the grade. That being said I would saturate a little more as there is a sameness of tone throughout. Love the curve! |

Hi Jack, it took me a while to understand your point of view here. Well done with seeing an old car on this back road and having the mindset to pick up the camera and the capture a very interesting image. I believe that your processing has intentionally made it look like something from the past so there is not much that I would change. |

Arik, I love this. The mural background is a perfect foil for your person capture. the dog is such a bonus. One of my favorite things to do is to stand in a good position in the street and wait to see what or who will come into my lens. You are so right about AI. Its fantastic what we are able to do now. But I do find all the implications a little scary. |
