It's been a while since I used my lens baby. You inspire me to haul it out. I would only sharpen locally on the front petals and see how you like it. You may well prefer to leave it as is. |

Hi Russel, Your day lily is well presented. I do like the differential focus you have used, although would have liked the base of the lily to be somewhat sharper. I do think that all flower images could benefit from some selective sharpening and wonder if you would try it. |

Hi Maria, Your presentation is lovely. I'm drawn to the center blooms as was your intention and like the softening of all the other flowers. Your have done a great job with the addition of a texture, but I find it just a little dull. Would you consider adding a little blue blend to the texture. |

Hi Diana, The time you took in setting up this photograph was entirely worth it. What is in focus is just perfect and the falloff is beautifully handled. Great job on finding the sweet spot. My only suggestion is to try and remove the shadow in center and enhance the yellow there. |

Hi Fran, I think you have done an excellent job here. Using the 5.6 F stop gives you a lovely range. I believe that you did find the "sweet spot" with your focus and should be pleased with the result. My only suggestion is to selectively sharpen just on the flower which would bring out vein detail.
Love that you are using the lensbaby! |

Hi Al, This looks like a beautiful place to visit. Having taken it in the middle of the day, you have done a good job with post processing. You were right to do some cropping. Would you consider cloning out the tree branch showing in lower left. I must admit that this presents to me more as a scenic shot. None the less I have enjoyed it. |

Hi Henry, What a gorgeous place this is! Your viewpoint is just right and those clouds should be bottled. I like how the red rocks have rendered, but would like to see more of a punch in the trees. I think that Gary did make that happen. I hope we get to see more of this beautiful place from you. |

Hi Palli, As I've said before, you are the master of trees. The inversion works and they really do glow. It seem that glamor glow really works for IR. |

Hi Gary, Your artistic bend is definitely your friend. In your post processing you have taken what is truly a very ordinary image, which might have reached the garbage can in most instances and transformed into a piece of art. just a small point, I would darken the haze above the center of the castle. Great job! |

Hi Chuck,
The gentle pastels are really lovely. Your pink pigeon is very well captured and stands out from the background beautifully. I am in two minds about the people on the bench. My eye keeps going to them and I wonder if they should be removed so that there is complete concentration on the bird. I truly have enjoyed looking at your picture. |

Hi Jack,
You always find such interesting scenes, and this is a wonderland. I think the best result lies somewhere between your two versions. The luminosity seen in the vines in 1. is exactly right and the sky in 2. showing the horizon works for me. Although Palli's version is great and gives a lot of drama, my guess is that it's not quite your style. |

Hi Arik,
Your perspective is perfect. I do not mind the inclusion of the small structure as it adds to the story. What absolutely fascinates me is the storm cloud in the upper left. It looks like it is so low and almost on top of you. Your post processing has enhanced it beautifully. The slight toning is very much in keeping. Well done! |
