Hi Henry, We are so happy to have you join our group. Welcome!
We too have done a river cruise. Ours was on the Danube with fall colors. Wow is all I can say!
This is a very powerful image, With wonderful detail both on the castle, as well as foreground hill. The color rendition gives an even more old world feel. I like the crop with the extra tree on the skyline.
My personal taste would be to make the sky more subdued and not such a bright blue. I not sure that our fellow members would agree with me.
Either way, a beautiful submission. |

Hi Emil,
There will never be enough barn pictures especially in IR. The three items make for a very well designed composition. The sky does not compete, while looking perfect for the image. Even though I was happy with your first version, the second does have the punch needed to give depth. Well done! |

Hi Palli,
This really is fine art. The background figures create a lovely design while framing the little girl. She is properly placed with a great expression. I do agree that her face and top should be lightened. |

Hi Gary,
This is such a gracious building which you have presented so well. The clouds of course help to give it a finish. But the thing I like most is the tree line, especially the majestic mulberry. Loved the story! |

Hi Chuck, A lovey scene indeed. There really is something about an empty bench and this one has such a tranquil and peaceful view. The blue tones are very inviting. I would love to see the central trees with a dash more brightness making them whiter. Well done! |

Ah Jack, We are like minded this month. I just love that sky. It adds drama and perspective. You are much smarted that I in that you know to take this kind of image from the middle of the road! I do think that darkening the fields will highlight the edge grasses. BTW I like that it is a little off center. Well seen |

Hi Arik,
I love aspects of things and this is just right. The broken board adds so much. The tones are lovely. My only quibble is that there is detail under the eve. I wonder if you may have wanted the stark black there? |

Thanks Gary, I did lighten the middle mountains, but somehow managed to ignore those on the far right. |

Thank you Jack, I wish I could explain why I did not take the picture from the middle of the road. My husband often reprimands me for doing that on much busier roads. Posted: 05/08/2022 15:20:27 |

Thanks Henry, I agree that the sky may be too dark and chruchy for the image. |

I appreciate the comment on the sky and will take note next time. No I did not step into the road on this one! |
