66 Mar 22 Reply Thanks for the kind words Chuck. The original was taken in 2018 so also looking back in files. We do have a trip to the badlands in May. Looking forward to that! Mar 24th
66 Mar 22 Comment Hi Jack, How wonderful to have that fascinating sky and then to find that eye catching scenery to go with it. I'm sure that even you would have added a little more contrast if you were using you usual software. I do wish the wispy clouds touching the mountains stood out a little more. Either way great job. 66 Mar 22 Comment Hi Emil, What a lovely final resting place. The clouds are so perfect for this subject. I am in two minds about flipping this image. I like that you created a lead in pathway for my eye to follow, but it stops at the structure and does not carry through to that gorgeous tree. In the original, I look at the tree first and the branches then lead me to the structure, which is now placed in a far stronger position. Would love to hear if this makes any sense to you. Mar 8th
66 Mar 22 Comment Hey Palli, Simple, interesting and your figure is perfectly placed. Your conversion is lovely and cropping takes it from ordinary to special. Well done! Mar 8th
66 Mar 22 Comment Hi Gary, I won't surprise you to hear that I applaud the dreamy look and think the fog like background has just enough detail to hold it together. I do think a little work to separate the horse's rump is needed. There is detail in the blanket that is worth finding and would do it. Mar 8th
66 Mar 22 Comment Hey Chuck, You have presented a similar image before, and this idea works really well when photographing another's artwork. The placement against the light bushes behind helps to make this look 3D. The large tree makes a beautiful frame, as well as holding the images together. For fun, I would try a panoramic view too.
