Thank you all for the invaluable comments. I learn from you all every time. Gary I think you have found the best version. I should have thought about cropping. The heavy vignette makes the building pop! |

Hi Emil. Love the crop! the graphic quality of vertical and horizontal lines work so well. Your subtle toning is very well handled. |

Hi Palli. This is a compelling image. I cant stop following all the lines. You have done really well to fade out the background trees and enhance all the threads. Nicely processed. |

Hi Gary, Congratulations on your fine article in the latest journal. You are a busy man! Really enjoyed it and love the front cover image.
I hope to visit Car City at the end of this month. It's a photographers dream.
You found something without competing distractions which is not always easy there. As usual your conversion works so well. You have really captured that atmosphere and grunge of the place. |

Hi Chuck, We are invited to meander through this image. light and shadows are so well handled. I am wondering about the perspective. I know the tree trunks are all straight, but the driveway looks unnatural to me. I put it into Nik Perspective, using auto this is the result. What do you think? |

Delightful Jack! Tones and textures are great. I have no problem with your crop, in fact I enjoy being led into the distance. The strong vertical line in the center does bother me and wonder if you would consider removing it. If not how about toning it down to match others that are in the image. Either way you really make me want to visit this area. All your images from there are lovely. |

Hi Arik, Well seen. Those curved lines make the picture. I do think that there is a sameness in the tonality and some dodging and burning would enhance it. I do like the vastness that you have conveyed. |

Thanks Palli fr your insightful critique. This is a case of not seeing the woods for the trees! I just attended an IR webinar where one of the messages was not to allow your sky to overwhelm you subject. I certainly did that here. Following your suggestions I reduced the dark sky areas and used a sepia tone. Hope the group likes this more. |
