Thanks Gary, I does work. I'm thinking that the sky could certainly use the punch, and maybe leave the water as is, but vignette a little more. |

Palli and Jack, Thanks for showing a different version. I do agree that it is a much stronger version of the tree. I did record that tree often at different times of the day with all kinds of compositions. This time, I did want to show a wide view which probably reminds me of the time and place and not unexpectedly, is not shared by my viewers. |

Hi Jack, It's simple, it's clean and has your signature all over it. It's one of those "I wish I had seen this" images. The diagonal lines in the gorgeous sky seems to make it lean even more. |

Hi Chuck, A really cool scene, well captured. Ah that tree! I think your idea of content aware is what it needs. I don't think that just cropping it out works, as the tree framing really adds to the image. I would like to see more contrast in the water to show off the reflections and separate it from the surrounding foliage. I also seems that there is even more detail to be found in those interesting clouds. |

Hi Gary, your wonderful eye saw that the was a picture to be had, even if you did not record it perfectly. Conversion and tones are as usual lovely. I have been bothered by the leaf on the right, even though you faded it away. Took it into Photoshop to see what it looked like after removing it. Once there, I cropped it too, as it looked even stronger with about half the sky make a more panorama view. Wondering what you think? |

Hi Palli, Your favored blue tint works well here. I like that you cropped to offset it, but think that the clouds are more interesting on the right side, so I would have placed the lighthouse more to the left. I am wondering about your original, as there is water shown in your final. If you did add it, it was a good idea. |

Hi Emil, This is beautifully composed and shows the bridge to it best advantage. Generally your conversion is good. I did try some detail extractor and found it to be too crunchy as you thought. I really like the sky and would not like to see changes there. So my thought is that there is happy ground somewhere between what you show and Gary's version. I do agree on the small structure removal as others have noted. |
