Emil, An interesting grouping with lots of "mood". Trees are such good subject matter. I like your gentle conversion. There are great light and dark tones. I am with others that suggest more base, but as always artist's choice wins. Nit picking-clean up the small twig on the right side. |

Hi Palli, An inviting street to walk down. Mystery as to where I am being led. The cloud puffs work well. Nicely converted and in keeping with a gentle subject. |

Hi Gary, I find this an exciting image. The cold, blue tones just work so well. The conversion of the sunflower field with subtle highlighted areas is lovely. I think you were aiming to highlight a pathway for your ethereal lady, but for me it is too bright. The model's ghostly appearance works wonderfully, but I would like the aura and path to fade away so that she stands out a little more. Love that Sky! |

Chuck, A perfect subject for infrared. I love all the striations on the walkway. It seem a little saturated to my eye. I offer a slightly de saturated version |

Hi Jack, There is lovely pattern detail to be seen in the fronds. Looking at your wide version, somehow the front leaf seems to be more in focus. In the main image the lack of focus is more prominent than I would like, but I love the fall off in the background. The subtle tones are perfect for the subject. |

Hi Chuck, Thanks for the comments which are so valid. On Jack' comment I do explain about the wrongful use of the sky. I do have IR skies downloaded and should have used one of them. Mea Culpa. |

Hey Gary, Please look at the reply I wrote in Jack's comment where I address the color in my image. |

Thanks for taking the time to work on my image. The flip certainly works and I do like the black and white version. Please look at the reply I wrote on Jack's comment too. |

Thank you all for the comments. I knew that this would be a controversial processing. In trying to answer the question as to why it is in color and not mono, it just give a different look to my eye. I have a color image taken from a slightly different angle which shows the difference in tones.
I also note that I loaded the wrong image on the sight as I had removed the bright area of sky. My choice of sky may not have been a good one. It was a color version which is not in keeping with our IR group. I should have worked harder to bring out the original sky. My apologies for that. |
