Hi and thank you all for the always valuable comments. You have shamed me into reprocessing. I have combined two of the images I have to get rid of the offending tree. I do not think my mono processing is as good as before, but hope this is more appealing to you all. |

I have mostly stopped using Nik to convert my IR images, a find a lot of the presets add so much noise. I use PS adjustments to convert to B/W. Select color in adjustments, using only White, black and neutral to find the tones. Sometimes brightness and contrast adds to the image. CC raw helps with finishing. |

Hi Emil, My first impression when first seeing this was that it was so clean. There is nothing that does not belong. Horizontal lines of the road, fencing and shadows to take us though the image, while the tree add the drama. This is the kind of IR that will always appeal. |

Hi Palli, We are all looking at old files and finding enjoyable images. I think you made a really good choice to crop vertically. I makes the trees look powerful and commanding. Your people are well placed and I like that they are walking into the picture. I might have darkened the pathway a little more to separate the tones. I like the general toning you used as it is in keeping with the subject matter. Good job! |

Hi Gary, It has been amazing to me to see how many old images have been overlooked. We do have to agree that technology has changed so much, that it allows us to find a picture that we thought was not there, and this is a good example. I love your gentle colorizing especially on the roof. I too would have spent time taking out the power lines, although as I said elsewhere, the older I get, the more I am able to accept imperfections. I am not a fan of the painterly effect here. and might have stopped after using color efex. Already looking forward to the next barn! |

Chuck, This looks like a winter wonderland. The blue tones are soft and so appealing. The movement in the clouds adds just enough tension. I would love them in my cloud folder! The light and shade in the foliage is beautifully handled.
I say its a winner! |

Hi Jack, Such a simple yet interesting image. I enjoy the starkness of it and think the blacktop works fine. The lines draws one towards the vanishing point. It probably does bother you, but for my own entertainment, I straightened the trunks in PS perspective, which I think does a great, natural looking job on most images. Either way it works! |

Hi John, The soft dreamy colors are lovely. I love all the different textures achieved on the plants. The composition is good drawing me in and through the picture. Both the mono and this version are pleasing. Well done! |

Thanks Jack, Your critiques are always valid. I could have taken it out using one of the others in the series, but as I get older, I am more accepting of things that aren't ideal I think! |

Yes , fog adds to it. I would only place it behind the buggy though. The tree is there and there is nothing that will hide it. Thanks as always for making me a better photographer. |
