Such a simple image, but.....the curves of the branches adds intricacy that creates interest. I do think that your conversion abilities make your pictures special. As you will guess, I like it a lot. |

Hi Emil,
I think you have done a great job here. The composition is wonderful. the curve of the branches over the road is a photgrapher's dream. The fence paralleling the road leads us right into the picture and the road is just so inviting. I definitely want to walk right down it. The tones are beautifully handled, making for a very delicate picture. Super! |

Hi Palli,
This certainly is a little different from your usual submission. I like it. I enjoy the way the picket fence makes my eye wander through the image and lands at the building. I understand that you wanted to make this look like a night shot, but the process has made it very contrasty and some areas have lost detail. Still a very interesting picture.

Hi Gary,
Costa Rica is certainly on my bucket list.....one day.
A very appealing scene indeed. The figure give perspective and the angle you have chosen shows this off beautifully. It has the feeling of an old photo which is in keeping. I don't often show my own version of other images but would like to hear what you think. I took down the brightness a little as I feel you lost too much in the conversion. I know you were looking for chocolate brown, but I liked it a little de saturated.

Hi Chuck,
Another beautiful scene. The composition is perfect. The balance of the foreground bushes is set off by the tall tree. Reflections add balance. Crop is great. I do feel that the blues are too saturated. I de-saturated them a little and am look forward to hearing what you think. |

Hey Ernie,
I think this is an ideal subject for infrared. The base lead in of foliage is perfect. I love the way the leaves above the door are lit. To my eye it could do with a little contrast especially on the door. Right now there is a certain sameness of grey tones. Try it and let me know what you think. |
