Thanks Palli,
I had though that the slight sepia I used was enough, but seems not enough to be noticeable. I will look at adding more. |

You are right. It does look better flipped. It's funny that is would not occur to me to do it. Messing with nature I guess. |

Hi Emil,
Great that we both used moving water this month.
I think the lower half is perfect. The water quality is lovely. I really like all the bits and pieces on the rocks. The lower right corner has just enough detail to satisfy me.
I do agree as suggested that the upper have could do with some contrast. |

Hi Palli,
I like the way you have handle this. Because the background is disappearing, it make the sculpture stand out, creating your own take of it. There are lovely lines both in the wood as well as in the carving. Sepia tones certainly are in keeping with the subject. |

Hey Gary,
I really enjoy images with interesting foregrounds , and this one makes the grade. The opposing angles between the foreground and building are great. Very attractive sky. Thanks for taking out the rack. I do see that there is less noise around the top of the building in your revised version.
I wonder how close you were to the ground when you shot this. That may take away the middle ground, but would it still be as interesting? |

Welcome Chuck, Welcome.
You have started out with a lovely image. I love that you cropped it down to this very simple, but impactful scene. I note that in the original the shadow is quite harsh and contrasting. Well done for softening it. The coloration is handled beautifully. It certainly has a painterly quality about it. Looking forward to more. |

Hi Jack,
This is a gentle, quiet and very inviting scene. The curve of the grouped trees is mirrored by the lovely curve of the trunk and branches. The foreground, as well as the distant cloud also mirrors the curve. All adding up to another great image. Love it! |

Hi Ernie,
This is a very dramatic conversion. Knowing how difficult it is to is to isolate these, you have done a great job. I am enjoying the grunge aspect which adds to the image. I do find the upper left side a little blocked. I'm sure you must have had a good reason for excluding any detail there. I do like that you left the second vehicle a little darker which makes the main attraction stand out ever more. |
