Hi Palli,
Your ability to see IR possibilities with foliage is wonderful. Lovely tones in the conversion. Also flipping it makes it so much stronger. Good job with taking out the distractions. I tend to agree that the detail extractor works well for this image.

Oh you brave, brave soul. Film IR seems like such a nightmare! This beautiful though. It has all the elements needed for a classic IR image. The conversion it perfect. Noise or not it's great! |

Hi Jack,
What an inviting image. Beautifully seen. The pathway is in a perfect position. The tree trunk curves form such a lovely canopy. How do you feel about adding a little contrast? |

Hi Antje,
I like what you have done. The mono conversion is strong and clean. I think the tones you chose are great. The pink adds romance. I am wondering about desaturating the pink just a little as in the lower left and right. I think it would be more in keeping with the other tones. |

Hi Ernie,
Love that you are also doing HDR this month.
Let's start with the sky. It is absolutely gorgeous. Exactly what we wish for in a scenic rendition. The textures and graphic nature of the scene make it tactile. I want to touch! The ray of light captures a perfect center of interest. I know the grass gives a base to the image, and artists choice to leave it in, but from a graphic point of view, it seems stronger without it. Small quibble, I would like to see a touch more contrast. |

Thanks Gary for your comments. It made me smile, as when traveling, ones tries so hard to be at a good spot early and late. I think can can absolutely brighten the foliage. Unfortunately it never occurred to me to do it. This is why I love the dialog.
