Hi Palli,
What a beautiful old building set in among the trees. Perfect subject matter for IR. Your conversion and tonality are great and in keeping with the subject. You say that finding a vantage point was difficult, so we have to live with the tree trunk. Oh how I wish you were able to move to the left, cut out the tree and get more of the structure on the left. C'est La Vie!

Hi Gary,
Yes we have a love affair with clouds, and in this image they are loving you back. I think your perspective is wonderful. So much more than just a recording of the monuments. You are giving the viewer such a feeling grandeur with this large vista.
As always the tone and conversion are well done. |

Hi Jack,
IR and clouds go together. They are hard to resist when the are lovely and puffy as yo have them here. This is a lovely scene.
I think you need more work on the vines and ground. The tonality is too close to that of the clouds. Adding some contrast or split toning might work well. My favorite tool is the history brush. Multiply would certainly bring out details as well as some darkening.

Hi Antje,
The lovely softness of the ferns against the tree trunks is great. The ferns create beautiful shapes that are interesting. I would like to see more more of the tree on the left, which is shown in the original. Otherwise there is really good detail throughout. Good conversion. |

Hi Ernie,
This is a fine image. I like the starkness of the rock against the sky. Your tones really work well, and of course you have achieved wonderful detail. I want to reach out and touch. I see there is some discussion about the clouds. Perfect for me as it adds a soft balance to the juniper in contrast to the hard rock. |

Thanks for the comment. Cuba is wonderful. So pleased we were able to go there.
I really did not want to crop the picture as I like the building so I think I have fixed it. Look at the new image I posted below. |
