Antje,
Now you have it. It really looks great. Such a simple fix. I would crop a little off the right, but that is personal and I have no problem with it as is.

Now I understand what you were saying. I take your point, but of late, I have found that architecture is especially good in IR. One is able to get great detail. I must admit that I will use IR in any situation. I took my IR camera to a car show a few weeks ago and got some really different images. Look at group 35. In my opinion this is a really good IR group. |

Hi Palli,
I just wanted point out to all our members that there is a wonderful article about Palli in the latest PSA journal. Wow! that is all I'm going to say. Find it and read it.
There are such wonderful textures and shapes in this image, but as others have pointed out, no center of interest to lay one's eye on. I think you may have done a whole more if you were able to get in much closer and created a intimate landscape, which I know must be there. Good conversion. |

Hi Gary,
What lovely perspective. You show us the vastness of the area with the lighthouse beautifully place. I like your conversion and the tones all work. It seems a little over sharpened in the lower half and on the horizon line. I do like the sky, but wonder if you might consider cropping out the fuzzy clouds near the top. |

Jack,
I think you are on the way to a great body of work with you desolate landscapes. This is a great one to add to it. Beautiful sky. I feel drawn in by road striping and like, but am unsettled by the vanishing point, presumably created by wind. In my head I am thinking, am I going to be able to get to those distant mountains? All this is a good thing believe it or not!
Good tonal conversion |

Hi Antje,
So pleased to have you in our group. Also wonderful to see color IR.
I agree with you that the baby does not add to the image, but I do love the spacing. Maybe 5 are better than 6. I really am enjoying the bookend Zebras which are both looking up and holding everything in place. I would not enhance the sky. The color is in keeping with subject matter. Just a picky thought - Would you be able to extract the blue tinge out of the animals? Lovely image.

Hi Ernie,
Having been there, I really appreciate the fantastic job you have done with post processing. The fine detailing seen throughout is quite amazing. I'm not usually a fan of central placement, but here it seems to enhance the drama of this wonderful building. My eye is easily drawn from the darker base to the lighter areas. |

Antje, Thank you for your very valid critique and for pointing out the mark in the upper right. I did not notice it when I cropped the image. I'm not sure what you mean when you say there is no indication that this stared as an IR. The original raw image is there for you to see. Maybe I am not understanding you correctly? |
