Thanks Jack for the valid comments. Seeing it here I really agree that the sky could use work. I did not brighten the center and foreground, but darkened the the middle area. Your guess is as good as mine as to why I left distant headstones so bright! |

A restful and inviting image. The reflections add a glow. Your perspective draws my right into the picture with my eye traveling around the lake and the up the tree line to the clouds. A picture like this tells us why we love IR. |

Your conversion is key here. The wonderful details in the foliage could so easily have been lost, but show up beautifully against the dark background. Even though the wood shows black, the shadows cast are even more black. Kudos for putting it on an even more slant to create movement.

I may be a wee bit tight, but that is artist's privilege I think. It is a fine tree worthy of attention. I like the hint of clouds on the left hand side. The rock creates a nice balance.

I am really enjoying the design of your image. It's delicacy, tones, water droplets and stem detail. I like it just the way it is. The out of focus background flowers show depth and add to the quality.
