Palli, I love it! The tones are gorgeous. It makes me feel that I want to be there. I looked at cropping to take it of center and came to the very quick conclusion that it is right as is. Thanks for sharing it. |

Gary,
As usual your post production is really good. I too enjoy taking this kind of scene to photograph. It is a lovely IR pick as it would not work in color. The beautiful foliage is a perfect frame.
I think you have cropped correctly and I would not change it. |

Welcome to our group Jack, I sure you are going to be a wonderful addition.
When can we visit your vinyard?!
I think the moodiness of your image is far more interesting than you second attempt. All the lines lead me right into the picture. The softness in the clouds is very appealing. Just a little adjust in levels would find the white point. Well done.

Nathan, Thanks for making the African me smile.
I think the idea is great. The placement of the lions is good. I am bothered by the lack of sharpness of the image. Unfortunately the product of the major crop. I think a more subtle handling of the grasses would make it pop. As is, it is too bright for me. Even so
I think it is great that you make color IR. |

Gary, Palli and Jack,
Thanks so much for your very valid comments. I usually do some curves adjustments before submitting, as what is on my monitor shows much darker on Craigs'. Did not do it this time.
That being said, I used a darkening, lightening filter to highlight the tree and should have removed it from the grasses. As noted it looks very heavy handed. Palli your contrast adjustments work well.
More subtly is certainly needed.
