You have no idea how I tried to get the animals out of the center. Whatever I tried did not seem to make that much difference. You do have it just off center. I wish that I had not been so taken with the lead in path and tried another angle! I do appreciate the time and effort you took with my image. I really like the darken/lighten filter applied. It makes all the difference. |

I must admit the I too would like to ignore the title, but can see how you came to it. Isn't nature wonderful in presenting us with human like figures. I would like to see more contrast on the trunk to bring out the beautiful detail that you have. That would also help to make the very sharp and domineering subject stand out from the background. Gary's straightening does the job. Congrats on seeing this image. the placement in the frame makes it very powerful. |

Gary - As usual your conversion is lovely. The tones are all there. Thank you for not falling into the trap of darkening the sky. A great story telling photograph. The only quibble I may have is that I think the rump of the horse could be a little darker so that it stands out from foliage. I am really enjoying it. |

Nathan - This is great. i like the ethereal quality achieved here. The different tones in the blues manage to separate all the different elements. The darkened area on the sides hold it all together. I'm sure this is a lovely scene any way it is photographed |

I do think this is a very well executed image of a sunflower. The tree does not bother me at all. I rather see it a balance and frame for the bloom. I like the contrast done by Gary as it now makes it "pop". I wonder if you would consider cropping the out of focus foreground leaves in the front. Aesthetics are great with the placement of the sunflower within the frame. |
