Palli, This is a lovely lighthouse photograph. Beautiful sky. I like the long view as the pathway is interesting. I agree that the road should be cleaned up. As Craig suggested, a lower angle might make it even more dynamic. I have been experimenting with putting my camera down on the ground and have gotten some very interesting views especially with a wide angle lens. Lighthouses are great with this method. |

Nathan, Great that you are trying out color IR. The noise problems have been addressed already. I like the background conversion and those colors work well. I find the red of the art too harsh and wonder if a blue tone would have worked better. Of course only you know the true color of the work. I do believe that in photography we have to be careful of photographing other people's artwork, but if you feel that you have altered it enough, then no problem. |

Craig,
For an early IR image you are to be commended. You have shown the dreamlike quality of the garden well. I really am drawn into the picture. the hardness of the gate and arched entry against the softness of the garden works well. I am really unsure of the bricks. If your intention was to make them look real then the toning is not helping. As an exercise its great, but would prefer the mono version, even though you think that is boring. |
