You have done justice to both the geyser and IR. I think that this is my favorite geyser to photograph in the park. There is always something happening there.
Your tones are rich and the steam is almost palpable. The textures of the calcium deposit make lovely designs that give character to Castle Geyser. My only very slight quibble is that I think you have too much base. Cropping a little would make it an even stronger image. Looking forward to more from Yellowstone. |

What a fabulous field trip. There is such a 40's/50's feel here. The model placement is great and it is definitely story telling . Love her hair! I do see the strangeness in the eyes but is does not bother me as the way the light falls on her face is lovely. If it were mine I would darken the outstretched hand a little as well as the bottom on the coat.
I do think the almost high key conversion is in keeping with the subject. Hope you have lots more from this outing. |

Another great tree photograph. The wonderful details achieved in the foreground trees give great character to them. I do think that I prefer the softness of the background trees that I see in the raw image. I would have liked the sharpness to fade out a little into the distance. The pathway helps to lead me through the trees. Generally a fine conversion with pleasing tones. |
