Nicely done. I wonder about darkening the audience above her hat. The spotlight is shining on them and the brightness distracts from her. |

I'm with Jerry! I had to take a second look to figure out what this was. I thought it was a big burger! |

I can't add to what's been said, other than to say I think it's quite lovely. |

Great job of getting a sharp micro-shot. I also like Marti's version and the soft white background. I think both versions are winners. |

This is a very attractive image. Shows that nice photo subjects can be found just about anywhere. |

The composition is excellent. I love the colorful outfit. The original image looks a little soft. The edited version looks a little crunchy. In trying to fix the slight slur in the original, did you overcompensate by adding too much sharpness? This is especially visible in the lines around her smile. I also think her skin tone in the revised version has a funny orange tint. The original is more natural.

I agree with the comments made by others. I would suggest a slight improvement -- the sky seems overly bright and puts the image off-balance. I've been experimenting a lot lately with the luminance range mask in Lightroom to tone down bright areas like these to better balance them with the rest of the image. I believe you use Lightroom, too, and recommend you play around with it to see how it can enhance an image. |

I agree that the composition is excellent. Tack sharp. Perfectly exposed. I've look back and forth at the color and B&W and really think I prefer the B&W version. The color is almost too stark and bright in the original. The B&W version looks far more majestic, artistic and creative. |

I side with Spring on this one -- I like the uncropped version better. The waves along the beach and slight curve of the shoreline lead directly to the mountains beyond. The mountains then help anchor the image. You also did a good capture of the soft evening pastels, creating a pleasant, serene moment at the end of the day. By the way, the horizon does lean to the left a bit. |

I've never been to Italy, Southern Spain, Lisbon, Sardinia, Malta, Cyprus or the Mediterranean, so I can't personally compare it to any of those places. But just as an old South Texas scrub brush guy, I find this image exceedingly attractive -- regardless of where it was taken. I love how the buildings frame the narrow roadway that leads into the photo like following the Yellow Brick Road. The sunlight at the end beckons the eye even further into the image. All the different elements on the sides of the buildings, the soft colors of the yellowish plaster and off-white limestone are striking and gorgeously complimentary. You did an outstanding job here. |

Perfectly composed with the wall of buildings lining the river and drawing the eye into the scene. The slower shutter speed that blurred the river taxi made this image pop with energy. |

Stright, head-on shots normally don't work. This is an exception. Many things work in its favor--the sharp focus, the lovely colors, the red bricks again the blue sky. It's all perfectly balanced. Wonderful image. |
