Great discussion points. However, I think this all started before AI. How many times have we looked at an image and said "it's been Photoshopped." Excluding what we see in commercial advertisements, I've seen many photos for sale that I know have been altered to create an artificial environment or setting. I don't know if it's still true, but National Geographic photographers at one time had to turn their photo disks directly in to the editors without any processing. This was to ensure that there were no artificial alterations done to the images. |

I love this image. The circles of the placemat cascade into the circles of the saucer and bowl. The contract between the greens, the whites and the brown black-eye peas combine to make this a delightful photo. I could see this in a museum. |

Glad you captured this before the fire burned down the north rim! I agree that this is a beautiful sunset, which you captured perfectly. |

Very nice composition and good job of using the slow shutter speed to blur out the waterfall. In my opinion, your colors are off and unnatural looking. This is often caused by too much saturation. Perhaps you could adjust the tints and dial back the saturation a tad to give it a more realistic look. Of course, I wasn't there, so maybe this is how it really does look. In which case, ignore everything I said, except that this is a great image. |

This is a striking image. I'm extremely impressed with how tack sharp it is. I also love the muted colors in the sky that serve as a canvas for the colors on the tower. I'm undecided about the placement of the tower in the composition. I agree that it's best not to place something in the center of the image. However, I don't know about the large open space to its right. To me, it seems kind of empty and doesn't serve much of a purpose. I'd try cropping off the right some. You'd still have the leading lines but without so much emptiness on the right. Just wondering how that would look. |

Beautiful photo and great composition. I like the way you captured the reflection in the water. I do notice there's a difference in the blue hues in the sky and in the water. The sky is much lighter than the deep blue in the water. I suggest trying to darken the blue in the sky to create a better balance. |

Perfect composition. To me, however, it looks too "crunchy" and over-processed. I think you lost the natural colors which would have fit this scene much better. For example, the greens look like they have too much of a yellowish tint. Dial back the saturation and I believe you'll have a better image. |
