22 Aug 24 Comment When I first read your title, I read it as "Four Star" instead of "From Starr" Hotel. I thought, "Way to go Marti -- Four Stars!!" Anyway, think you captured the lights extremely well. The pool in the foreground gives it some pop of color. Aug 6th
22 Aug 24 Comment Great composition, especially the way you isolated the cactus and moon to make them stand out. In my opinion, it is brightened way too much -- creating almost an unnatural garish color. There are also lines around the cactus and moon. I think you also lost the detail from the moon's surface, which was much more visible in your pre-processed image, and also which renders the moon impossible to distinguish from the sun. Aug 1st

71 Aug 24 Comment Although this looks like a beautiful scene, to me your image doesn't capture it. Unlike Nigel and Michele, I feel it's more of the vacation "snapshot" category -- something you'd take to fondly remember a trip. Like Michele, it looks flat, which is probably due to the middle of the day. A different time might have given the mountains more definition via deeper shadows. Even better a golden light would have helped. I find the boat not very attractive. I think you could also crop more of the water at the bottom as it doesn't add much to the image. Anyway, looks like a wonderful place and hope you thoroughly enjoyed your trip there! Aug 6th
71 Aug 24 Comment Nicely composed. I agree with Michele that it appeared a bit flat, but of course it was along a sandy beach. I do think his edits enhanced the image. I also agree with his cropping out of the tower to the left. Aug 6th

71 Aug 24 Comment Great subject matter and composition. Can't think of a better way to frame this. It seems a little too dark to me. And maybe my eyes are crooked but it doesn't seem level -- as if the water is running off the page to the lower left. Aug 1st
