Maybe I'm mistaken, but you can't add things that aren't there for a contest. I'm speaking only of contest entries, not day-to-day enjoyment of your own images. |

Great capture and beautiful birds. I agree with others who feel is it oversharp. To me, it looks like the bird was artificially placed there via PS, although I know it wasn't. |

I think you did a nice job and like others, I'm envious of the beautiful birds you have to photograph. Excellent suggestions about improvements, but just a reminder. If you ever wish to enter a natural photography contest with any of your images, you can only do basic editing, such as adjusting exposure, cropping, sharpening, etc. but nothing that manipulates the actual scene. However, if you just want to have a nice image for yourself and to share with friends, who cares what you do! |

Just a note to say how much I appreciate your information about birds. Not only is this a good forum for talking about photographs, it's also a great way to learn more about our feathered friends. |

Perfect image. I love how the reflection completely mirrored the bird. I also like how you processed it in black and white. Great work. |

You bet. That added a lot of sharpness. I've tried using Topaz Denoise but had a hard time figuring out how to use it. Need to give it another try. You might say that I'm technically challenged! |

Great capture of a bird in action. Excellent, sharp focus and nice feather detail. I agree about the halo. |

Good composition. I agree with Jerry that the mountains have a bluish tint. I'm also bothered by the cactus standing in the middle of the frame. To me, it seems to impede a good view of the mountains. I think it would have been a stronger composition if you have positioned the cactus to the side. |

Nice composition. I like the way the waterfall draws the eye up and into the image and toward the mill. I do think that the mill and the rocks have an unwarranted greenish tint that can easily be toned down to more natural colors. |

This is a lovely image. I love the pastels of the water, the sand and the sky. The boy in the bright red shirt adds a pop of color and his fishing pole adds a tad of action. Very nice. |

Nice shot of a great blue heron. Sharp feather detail and lovely spread of wings. I especially like the golden shade in the water. |

As usual, you demonstrated your excellent eye for a composition. I think Tom's modest adjustments helped bring out more detail in the landscape. I'm wondering if the neutral density tool on your processing program might be helpful in toning down the brightness of the sun shinning through the clouds in the middle of the image. You've almost blown out the highlights. They're really so bright that the eye goes directly there instead of the beautiful sun rays on the land. |

Nice image but I agree that the electrical wires looked a tad tacky. Nigel did a good job of fixing that problem. Don't you ever sleep? All of your images seem to be taken at night and well past my bedtime! |

I've seen tons of beach images. This is one of the most original I've seen. Perfectly captured and processed. This shows that with some patience and a creative eye, a photographer can capture a beautifully fresh image. |

I agree with Theresa about this being a nearly perfect image. The only problem was the highlights blown out over the pennant. However, she fixed it! So you're good to go. |
