Very nice capture and good focus. To me, the little flowers around the beak are distracting from the pretty orange tonals. Wish you could have captured the head against the green leaves. |

Great capture. Full of action and story-telling. My only suggestion would be to crop in tighter to the birds. This would bring them more in focus and alleviate some of the sky that doesn't add much to the image. |

Perfect capture. Everything is spot-on in focus and the composition is wonderful. Living in South Texas and the Hill Country myself, I've looked at the Santa Clara Ranch operation. They are really outfitted for bird photography. Glad you got some good shots. How many rattlesnakes did you see??? That area is infested with them. |

I'm assuming this is an old beaver dam in the foreground. At any rate, Joe makes a good point that it spoils the image. Unfortunately, it looks kind of trashy. Perhaps a better shot would have been to walk past the debris and capture the pretty water, reflections in mountains in the background. (I've actually been to Red Fish Lake!) |

I agree with Joseph. Wonder what this would look like in black and white? |

Thanks. We were in a hurry so I was rushed in getting this. But your points are well taken. |

I agree with Joe. I actually prefer the original composition, albeit cropped a tad from the top. I also agree with Joe about the cat. It looks more natural next to the door jam than in the middle of the door. |

This is a nice composition and you definitely captured good facial expressions. To me, the white balance looks off. She seems too orange, rather than a more natural coloration. |

I won't repeat what the other commentators have said. However, just as an experiment, I might try cropping out the right side, so that the image is primarily focused on the four trees on the left against the backdrop of the cliff. Maybe this might produce a stronger focal point. Just an idea! |

I'm late to this rodeo, but agree with the other comments. Well done! |

Absolutely perfect! I feel like I'm right there. This is one of the best I've ever seen from you (and that's based on a ton of great shots you've posted!) Congratulations on a wonderful capture. |

This is an attractive image. Through no fault of your own, it appears flat. To me, all the colors almost tend to blend together, accounting for the difficulty in getting the tree to stand out. I know you didn't have a choice, but I wish Mother Nature had cooperated with you but throwing some nice sun beams and shadows here and there to add depth and enable you to bring out the interesting tree in the foreground. |

Looks like a lovely place to see. You did a fine job of composing this. I like the steep hills in the background, which tend to create a beautiful setting. I only wish the vehicle wasn't in the image. Seems to take away the Old World charm of your image. |
