22 Oct 22 Reply Thanks Jerry. You're exactly right about flash or lighting equipment helping the photo. However, the assignment was a street shot, which to me, means more candid photos. I ordinarily don't take that equipment around when I'm wandering through a festival. However, if I were posing these individuals like models, then the lighting you suggest would work wonders. 22 Oct 22 Reply Thanks for your comments. My understanding is that we cannot post any photo that identifies a child, without written permission, even if it's in a public area. In any case, I always avoid posting any photo of a child where the child can be identified. Oct 15th
22 Oct 22 Comment Maybe it's just me, but the people in the modified version look a little crunchy to me, especially the outline of their heads against the sky. They seem like cutout figures or something that was combined in a Photoshop image. The original doesn't have that appearance. Maybe something happened in the post processing that caused this effect. 22 Oct 22 Comment Good composition. I especially like how you've cropped the image to show the skater drawing the eye into the frame and then the curved walkway taking the viewer further in. The black and white works well too since there was so little color contrast in the original. Oct 4th

71 Oct 22 Comment Beautiful capture. I can't think of a way to improve it -- nice warm colors, sharp focus, etc. Would make a gorgeous note or postcard. Oct 15th
71 Oct 22 Comment Theresa's comments are right on. I think you've created a nice composition that draws the viewer's eye in with the wake of the boat. I also agree about cropping out more of the sky. It doesn't add anything. Great work -- also nice and sharp. Oct 15th
