You certainly captured a unique composition. The symmetry is outstanding. A couple of suggestions: I feel you lightened the image too much. I like the painterly look in the original, especially how the lighting against the back wall spotlights the paintings. You can certainly lighten the two men some but perhaps try using Lightroom's brushing feature instead of lightening the entire scene. I would also crop the top of the image about halfway between the ceiling and the brownish paint on the far wall. The ceiling to me seems like a big distraction. |

Your revisions moved your image from a snapshot to a beautiful piece of art. Good work! |

Beautiful image. One suggestion: The grass on the left side seems unbalanced with the grass on the right side. The left side looks a half-stop or so too bright. You might brush that area to darken it just slightly to give the bottom of the image more balance. Overall, fantastic job! |

Couple of suggestions: The horizon is crooked. I suggest straightening it. Also, the old pier is the most interesting part of your image. Why not crop more to focus attention on the posts in the water? To me, they are what grab my attention. I'd crop out the water and shoreline above the farthest post. You've got the makings of an excellent image here. I just suggest it needs a little bit of work to make it exceptional. |

You've shot a beautiful sunset. I especially like how you did such a nice job in capturing the rolling hills with the yellow glow of the sun filtering through them. The fog or mist hanging in the valleys offers an especially nice touch. |

It is a nice sunset but it's not anything that truly stands out as exceptional. In my opinion the outstanding feature of this image is the weathered building and logs along the shore. I would crop off about half of the left side of the image to bring more attention to the structure. You also have some great reddish colors on the logs and a perfect glow on the side of the building. I suggest enhancing and lightening those colors. I find this is sometimes the case with photos I take -- what I initially think is the subject turns out to be something even better that stands out in processing. |
