This image is packed with great colors and interesting items to see. I spent several minutes looking at all the things in the store and around the outside. I like Joe's crop and also agree the sign is important. Very nice story telling image. |

You nailed it! That's exactly where this was taken. We camped there a lot when I was growing up. I tried to find our old campsites but it's changed too much over the decades. |

A very sharp exposure. I think anytime you put the camera on a tripod, it's going to sharpen the image. I love the conversion to black and white. The lines and contrast are excellent. I can see why the museum would want to showcase your color version. Hopefully you can find a nice place to display your black and white vesion. |

A very pretty image. You found a beautiful flower and did a great job of emphasizing the colors, patterns and textures. Would make a pretty framed photo or notecard from Texas! |

I assume you mean Old Town in Albuquerque, not Santa Fe. Wherever it is, I think you've done a good job of capturing a night scene. Good exposure and processing. You've also got a sharp focus down the street on the left. For me, however, there's not much visual interest. |

What I like best about this image is how your cropped it. By focusing on the three tulips on the left, you arranged them so that they lead directly into the image and to the pretty purple flowers in the background. This resulted in a very nice composition. |

This is a beautiful image! Your removal of the original background and replacing it with black was a perfect choice. I wouldn't change a thing. Great work! |

I think your revisions nailed it. Good work. We're heading up to the San Juan Islands in early June, with plans to stay on Orcas Island about a week. Hope to emulate some of your nice captures. |

Thanks for clarifying. I assumed the processed version is the one in the upper right hand corner. Great job of merging and processing. You really brought out the colors of the sky and flowers. I also like how you brightened the image -- making everything pop. The composition is good, too. The pier and coastline really accent each other. |

What a pretty setting and beautiful image. You did a great job of processing in order to make the colors pop. This would make a nice piece for framing. Just for fun, I cropped in much closer. I don't think the sky at the top adds much and you don't need to show the tops of the trees. I wanted to see what it would look like to focus on the burst of colors in the center and crop out the reeds along the shoreline in the foreground. Your's is nice. I played around to give it another perspective. |

You have a great subject here and did you best to capture it. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it lacks sufficient contrast, colors or even black and white contrast to capture my attention. In theory, the sunrays could have worked but they didn't illuminate the image enough to make a significant difference. The land on the right and the ship on the horizon are placed nicely but due to the unfortunate lighting just appear like dark smudges. I also wish there had been more contrast to the clouds to make them really pop. You had a perfect composition but due to the lighting that was out of your control the image, in my view, fell flat. |
