Wonderful capture. I prefer Marti's crop but find the vignetting a little overblown and too much an unnatural greenish-blue. |

Nice still life. Reminds of some early masters of black and white photography who captured everyday objects. |

Actually, I LIKE the white fence. It draws my eyes into the image. But like Marti and Peggy, while I find it's a pretty scene, I don't find a strong subject that captures my attention. |

Because there is so much extraneous clutter in the background, I prefer Joe's version. He did a knock-out job of taking a good concept and transforming it into something interesting, and also avoiding the distracting background "noise." |

I like everything about this image, and agree that transforming it to black-and-white was a good choice. My suggestion is to tone down the vignetting at the corners. They appear too strong and draw the eye off the image. |

Nice job of post-processing. You brought out the beautiful sunset colors and enhanced the clouds in the sky. It's a pretty scene but I find it lacks a strong enough subject to capture and hold my attention. As a suggestion, you might find an interesting object, such as a piece of driftwood, etc. that you could place in the foreground. Get down low for the shot and use that as an anchor in the foreground with the pretty landscape in the back. |

What a beautiful part of the world! My suggestion is to crop to bring more focus on the elephants. From this distance, it is hard to tell exactly what they are. The three in the front are so close together it is nearly impossible to distinguish them as elephants and from one another. I think bringing more focus on them will help solve that problem. |

You must be a nightowl! Looking forward to seeing your shots throughout the year. On this image, I believe you got all the technical details down pat. The exposure and processing all look good to me. As you move along with your night time project, I suggest you now focus on your composition, since you have the technical aspects perfected. I find the bright light on the tree to right distracting and the foreground seems a little cluttered. I guess I don't really know what the subject of this image is. You've got some pretty clouds but that doesn't seem enough to hold my interest. You've had some dynamite night images in the past. Try working on finding a clear focal point, i.e. subject, as you take more shots. |

What an exceptional capture! You don't get shots like this too often. Your processing and cropping also made this shot pop. Fortunately, you had your camera at the ready. This squirrel is definitely a goner! |
