Great composition. My only suggestion is to reduce the boldness or brightness of the red stripes on the box. They seem overpowering and tend to dominate the image. |

This is a super nice job. I love how you blurred out the background to give it a perfect backdrop. The twinkling lights look like little diamonds. Can't think of thing I'd do to improve this one. |

This is a definite improvement over your original. The colors are now extra-bold and exciting. The horizon doesn't appear level but I'm thinking this was your intent in order to have the balloons vertical. Great job. |

Since this month's assignment was lighting, I don't think you could go wrong by submitting either the original or the modified versions. I do admire how you took the original and "twirled" it into an entirely fresh approach. The colors are beautifully bold. Both images are ones that brought a smile to my face. |

What a creative approach! Looks like something out of Star Wars. I think you did a great job of transforming an ordinary window shot into an image that definitely captured my attention. Nice work. |

John has a good eye for cropping in order to better focus our attention. I agree with his suggestions, as well as his compliments. |

A beautiful capture. This is a simply a suggestion: To me, the drama is in the reflection. There is less drama in the sky. The blue patch in the upper right almost pulls the eye off the photo. You might try cropping more of the sky out, thus leaving the band of land closer to the top and consequently drawing the focus more on the lovely salt flats. |

I've got to thank John for his suggestion about making this vertical and bringing the focus to the center trees and distant peak. I mulled over the composition, and then saw his revision, and thought, "He's nailed it." Except for cropping to a vertical, I believe you've done an outstanding job. |

I really enjoy your creative approach to capturing images. This obviously took a lot of work and planning. I like the way you framed this so that the driftwood appears to be reaching up and grabbing the Milky Way. I'm not sure that I particularly like the greenish-blue color on the driftwood, but that's just me. If you are happy with it and that was your intention, then it's just fine. |

You made a wise decision to convert this to black and white since there was little color in the original version. This is an attractive landscape -- or rather seascape. The rays filtering out of the sky on the horizon are especially attractive. I can't tell for sure, but the highlights appear blown out on the sun peeking over the clouds. Having such a bright spot along the top of edge of the image also pulls our eyes off the page. I just mention this for the future -- watch to make sure there isn't a bright light, etc. along the edge to avoid our eyes wandering away.
