Ha! I hadn't even considered the flag as representing multiple colors!! Probably an example of why I never tested well on exams! |

I'd go with the three colors. Be daring -- push the rules of the assignment a bit! Nice work and very creative idea. |

Perfect work here! Just for fun, I'm wondering about changing the color of the door from green to red. The green is soothing but the red would especially stand out and draw my attention. |

You've turned an initially bland image into something that pops! I especially like how you enhanced the color on the phone booth. Nice work! |

Perfect for this month! Great job of turning into black and white and making those yellow eyes really pop! I also liked the way you darkened the background to emphasize the head and eyes. |

I agree with Peggy. Nice choice of image for this month's assignment. Although I processed mine in Lightroom, I think it would have been nearly impossible to do your image in Lightroom due to the fine grasses in front of the small pumpkin. |

Thank you! I was concerned about this month's assignment since I don't use Photoshop and can't do the layering and other things. Turns out it was a snap in Lightroom. |

This strikes me more as a snapshot than an image that would make me stop and look. Very futuristic architecture that seemingly would hold many creative compositions. |

I agree with John that this is a great composition for a travel photo. Placing the sign in the foreground immediately identifies the location, while also presenting a pleasing setting. |

You did a good job of capturing the colors and the processing. I think the shadows make a very striking subject to shoot. In my opinion, there is too much other stuff going on in the image to really appreciate the shadows. Until I read you description, I didn't know what the subject was. The bench? Buildings? Trees? It just seems overly cluttered and busy. In the future, perhaps zone in on the trees and shadows alone. Great subject matter, but help us see and know what you want us to focus on.

Great composition of an image. The Y of the river works extremely well to draw in the eye and move it along both forks. And what a nice view from your hotel room!

This is an outstanding shot. I love the way you captured the horses and the stars. I'm not sure this works well on a computer screen simply because the horses are so hard to see. I think it would be gorgeous blown up in a print so that horses stand out more. Another option would be to make it a horizontal image and cut out the stars at the top. I know that capturing the stars was important to you, however. But I just wanted to mention a horizontal image, in my view, would also be very nice. Great job! |
