Excellent! Thank you so much for your comments. I like how you brightened the shot. Although my original is a true representation for how it looked in the dim light, I do think you enhanced the image by opening up the areas. Again, thank you! (And thanks for dropping in on Group 22. Always nice to get perspectives from other members.) |

I agree with Marti and Peggy that you did a fine job of capturing a perfect arrangement in a difficult photo setting. I rarely get to College Station but need to make a point of stopping at the museum next time I'm there. |

Nice job of processing the image and removing the distractions, especially the tree that was standing behind the hindquarters. I think you did a good job of capturing the horse. My only wish is that you had captured something more than a portrait-type image. Just a question about the horse and has nothing to do with your image: In Texas, we'd consider this a sway-back by the way the back makes such a deep dip. These are ordinarily older horses set for retirement. Is this a trait particular to this breed of horse or am I just seeing something that isn't there? |

Loved the way you amended this image. Looks like a painting! You demonstrated a great deal of ability in arranging the birds and then adding the raindrops. I could see this piece hanging in a gallery. |

This is the quality of image that I'd expect to see in a high quality art magazine. What a perfect composition and fresh way of looking at art, from a photographer's perspective. I'm especially impressed that you were able to get such a sharp focus at 1/60 second. I'm assuming you handheld the camera, since museums often don't allow tripods. |

This is a spectacular capture, something that you would expect to see in the old days of Life or Look magazines. Perfect composition, sharpness and exposure. The intertwined arms are an especially nice element -- they lead us through the image. Compared to the original color, I believe the black and white version works best. At least for me, it fits with those fantastic b&w images we used to see much more often. I also noted that you used the 100-400. I rented one of those when I visited the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Great lens. Next time, though, I'm going to add an extender to increase the reach. |

Sometimes when I'm faced with a beautiful scene like this that lacks a strong focal point, I might focus on only one element. In this particular shot, you might try zooming in on different colored rock strata or perhaps water stains running off a cliff. In other words, keep the big sweeping shots like this for your travel memories but go small for an image that you want to stand out. |

Here's an idea: Paint over the area with the shadows with your adjustment brush and then slightly bump up your temp slider to increase the warmth. Don't know if this would work but just a thought. Good luck! |

Love the rusty red colors of the rocks against the backdrop of the deep blue sky and puffy white clouds. The exposure and focus were right on. While you have a nice red bluff, I feel that there isn't a strong focal point to capture and hold my attention.

Beautiful shot and composition. The red chutes really make the image pop. The only suggestion I have is to use your adjustment brush and lighten the human figures hanging in the air. |

This is just about as perfect a lighted skyline scene as anyone will get. The lights and colors on the buildings are great. It's also a very sharp focus. I especially like the buildings reflected in the water. They seems to create lines that draw us directly toward the skyline. |

Beautiful sunset shot. Great golden reflections in the water. I also like how you captured the small wave leading onto the beach and then pointing our eyes toward the houses and sky. Looks like a place I'd like to hang out at! |

Love this shot. I've seen several images of this fall and yours is one of the best. You've ably captured a perfectly sharp image and a great composition. I especially like the way you had a slight blur of the water which depicts the motion without making it velvety smooth which I think would render it very unnatural looking. |

Terrific shot! Love the way you placed the cabin off-center. You also captured the brightness of the snow. You were there so you know better what the scene looked like but the shadows look a tad too blue. I also wonder if you've slightly oversaturated. These are minor points. You've done a great job -- and certainly have a perfectly clear focal point in the cabin. |
