This image reminds me of the way the world looks without my glasses! Great job of combining the two exposures. |

Wow! What a great concept in combining images. I love the motion and action it depicts. It's like they are marching out of a star burst. Nice job. |

This is like looking through a kaleidoscope. What can I say but another brilliant creation and venture into new technology by Joe. |

I think this is a beautiful image. It would look great framed. I'm a little concerned about the large dark area in the lower right hand corner. I'm wondering if you shifted the main image to be more centered you'd have an equal balance of the dark in the lower right hand corner and the upper left hand corner. |

I agree with John that this is a captivating shot. I wonder about a different perspective -- maybe getting low on the ground a few feet in front of the rocks and focusing on them with the stream and trees in the background. Not to take away from the nice job you did here, but just a thought to try if you're in a similar situation in the future. Might as well grab a few different compositions while you're there. |

Beautiful soft, silky look to the ocean and pretty pastel colors in the sunset. The light from the pier reflecting in the water is an especially nice touch. I think the idea for the composition is perfect -- a pier leading into the frame. In my opinion, the pier and small building at the end itself isn't a strong enough feature to arrest the eye and serve as a focal point. To me, it seems to get lost in the vastness of the sea and sky. Would you consider cropping off the right more to bring more attention to the human element? |

I love the pretty contrast between the red barn and white snow. I do think the tree in the foreground is a big distraction. When I'm faced with challenges like this, I sometimes look for close-ups. In this case, perhaps try getting a close-up of the shrubs against the barn. You'd get the same great red and white contrast and avoid having a tree get in your way. |

You definitely achieved your goal of doing a beautiful job of replacing the moon. The balance is perfect with the moon offsetting Mt. Rainier. I think you also did a fabulous job of capturing the Seattle skyline. |

Nice composition. Love the way the highway s through the image and points to the shower in the distance. The rain also gives you a good focal point and helps anchor the eyes. Just wondering how it would look if you cropped out the trees on the left. This might help bring even more attention to the rain and highway lines leading to it. I'm not sure if cropping would work but you might see how it looks. |

What I like most about your image is the balance: The danger sign is perfectly set off center and balanced on the left by the high cliffs. In addition, the sign has just the right amount of space on the right so that it's not crunched up to the frame. You also captured some nice early evening colors in the puffy clouds overhead. I wish it were more apparent what the danger is or perhaps that's the point of the photo -- there doesn't appear any danger at all. In that case, there's a bit of humor here. I'm assuming you used a tripod to get the sharpness, since the exposure was 4/10 seconds. |

Hi Ed, I'm dropping in from Group 71. I sometimes have the same problem with the Lightroom thing spinning. I'm able to ignore it and keep working on my processing. Everything seems to come through fine. You might try Googling "spinning icon on Lightroom" and see what you can find out about the problem. I also get a "not responding" error message frequently. I didn't have these problems until LR ventured into the Cloud. I notice that you use the Rebel T2i and 55-250 lens. I used that same combination for several years. Recently upgraded to the 7D Mark II but still use the 55-250. Seems to produce pretty sharp photos, plus it's lightweight. By the way, nice job on your capture of the egret. |
