An interesting collage Mike. The textures and colors are so wonderful. My only suggestion would be to make the grid lines black rather than white, which I think would provide contrast and drama to the stones. I realize our DD background is black, but your purple key line could be widened or lightened a slight bit to make it more noticeable. I kind of agree with Gunter that eliminating three of the most similar images would help the viewer more fully appreciate their diversity. |

Another culturally wonderful post, Frans. I'm so glad you finally got to visit the festival, after dreaming of it for so long. Your images are all so nicely lit and photographed. The stamp is very cool. |

This has a nice oriental, calm mood to it. The branch is very pretty in the upper part, but the lowest bare twigs seem a bit sinister or incongruous with the rest. There seem to be a few white-ish artifacts between the sun and the branch that need to be removed. Otherwise, a lovely minimalist image. |

Very pretty image Candy. I like your crop and composition. The enhanced color works well. I'm not sure this fits the definition of altered reality, but it's artistic and lovely to look at. It would make a very nice wall hanging. |

Hi Steve. The monochrome fits right in with the historical aspect of this. You did a nice job of melding the various components together into a cohesive whole. I like the compass rose, but I might have removed the extra directional notations and just left N,S,E,W, as they all seem to make it a bit too busy. I like that you made one ship lighter and one darker. Thanks for the interesting details about your famous "local lad." Well done! |

Great image Denise. That lock and key have so much character. I think your shadows and highlights are just right. Toning down the reflection on the table was a good idea, but I agree with Connie that taking them out completely would eliminate an important reference point in the composition. The colors and little bit of glow are so yummy here. Nicely photographed and processed! |

I very much prefer the pathway in this month's image. The large foreground in May's image doesn't give it much depth to my eye, but the dramatic sky does. So I would suggest a combo of the two! I just selected the pathway area and placed it over the other image, created a mask, and painted out the straight edges to leave the best of both. Huge congrats on your first place win; that was a very cool image. |

I like your sky replacement Connie, and good call on reversing it horizontally. I like Denise's version with the platform removed too. The angle of view is very nice and makes "Abe" seem larger than life. Well done. |

Thanks Connie. I considered it more fun than work. I did separate the mailboxes as well as the bird and placed them both on the background (trees). Then just proceeded as described. I used three apps: PS, iColorama, and DistressedFX. |

Your edits greatly enhanced the image Georgianne. There's a tiny bit of an object on the right edge that could have been cropped or cloned out. This looks like a really fun place to visit and photograph! Nicely seen and processed. |
