This is cool Mike. I love the quirkiness of the fish chair. I can totally understand how it must have stopped you in your tracks while walking about on vacation. I agree with the other comments about the sundial not really being needed. Love what you did with the sunglasses though. This makes me smile. Well done! |

Imaginative and fun Steve. I agree with the other comments about the brightness of the left side. Somehow my mind went to the idea of UFOs since the poster refers to multiple sightings, and the abstract on the trash can kind of looks like a Picasso-esque alien. Fun for sure! |

This is a fabulous composite Frans. The lighting and mood in the final is a big step above the originals. It was a great idea to take out one arm of the woman on the left to simplify that area. I like the table and its contents on the right side; it gives nice balance there. But for me, I think the two arms in front of the table draw attention away from the striking snake charmer and the other woman. Just a small nit-pick on your really well conceived and processed image. Bravo! |

I love your original Gunter. The lighting is beautiful and the colors appeal to me much more than the final image. I think perhaps zooming in on one small area of the original photo and creating an abstract with a simpler vibe might work well. But as you say, abstracts don't usually appeal to everyone; it's a matter of personal taste. |

This is a cute and fun idea Candy. You did a good job of toning down the highlights on the elephant so the lighting looked more even. I like the "flower child" look of the little guy. There are a couple of inconsistencies in the lighting, but I really applaud your creativity in combining unlikely photos for a quirky AR image. Steve's suggestion of a global effect to pull everything together is a good one. Two of my favorites are poster edges and oil paint, but there are many in the PS filter gallery that could work well with the image. |

Very nice montage Steve! The color combo is unique and striking. I love the placement of the yellow band across her eyes. The leading lines are great, and the water in the foreground adds nice texture. Bravo! |

This is stunning Denise. I love the enhanced purple colors and they are such a lovely complement to the orange blossom. I think that whatever you did to the petals worked wonderfully. The black background and fine, neutral border are nice finishing touches. No one would ever suspect that this was shot in a grocery store. Very special result. |

I also prefer the edited version over the original. I like Denise's crop because it gets rid of the funky area in the upper left and leaves the interesting parts of the patterns and shapes. I thought it might look cool with a bit of glow going on so just for fun I tried an edit in iColorama. Then added a vignette in Snapseed. Not better. Just different. Wishing you well in competition! |

This is a beautifully serene image Mary. I like the color palette because it reinforces the serenity of the composition. You said you were hoping to get something in focus. Could you have taken a second shot of the scene without ICM and then just cut/paste one area onto the ICM shot? Or maybe that's considered cheating in the ICM arena? At any rate, I think this is a lovely hybrid of a landscape and an abstract. |

A fun bit of experimentation here Connie. I agree that the sparkles behind the vase are a bit distracting. Since the background is black, I would also suggest a fine key line border to separate it from the website's background. Kudos on searching out the glowing edges filter and taking the image into a new realm! |

This is a lovely portrait Carol. Your edits have given it a nice dreamy ambiance. The window light gave very nice illumination to everything except her left elbow area. Since it's in shadow, it has given that area a rather "dirty" look to my eye. Perhaps some dodging there would lighten it up a bit. Or perhaps a much tighter crop just below her hair to focus more attention on her beautiful glowing face and shoulders? In all though, this a really nice fine art portrait. |
