Great image Candy. You've blended both images beautifully. I love the iridescent feathers on Tom's chest and you did a great job of keeping their impact in the final even though you softened everything. We have a shortage of turkeys in the stores here this year, so it's really smart of Tom to take refuge in an unlikely place! |

Very nice Gunter! Your original shot has nice shapes, but your edit has taken it to a whole other level. I especially like the lower right quadrant -- beautiful and graceful lines that create a striking abstract. The black background was the perfect choice. Well done! |

You did a beautiful job of combining the two images Frans, especially the smoke still showing the background through it. To my eye, the background has many distracting elements that take the viewer's eye away from the lovely dancer -- the bright letters on the buildings and a couple of other bright lights. I like Gunter's crop because it eliminates those distracting elements. The dancer is a bit too bright I think. Perhaps if you reduced the opacity of that layer just a slight amount it would help her blend into the scene more realistically. This is a strong concept and I encourage you to keep submitting it to competitions; the message of "woman power" is timely. Nicely conceived. |

What a difference from your original! I love minimalist photography and the elements from your original seem beautifully minimal. And even though your psychedelic sky is anything but minimal, it also appealed to me, but I too felt it was a bit "too much." So I tried simply cropping your image down to the wonderfully quirky shapes of the lamps and whatever those other two things are (stair rails?). I was trying to bring more attention to the lamppost and make the wild sky sort of a backup to its unusual shape. Just my opinion, of course. The strong colors are happy and fun. |

I love your color changes here to bring a more Autumn flavor to the image. The glow filter worked magic with the blossoms and the detail of the dainty edges brings so much character to them. I do agree that the background is a tad distracting but perhaps a slight dark vignette would push the viewer's attention toward the gorgeous blooms. Nicely done! |
